Auto Insurance can be confusing but if you have an agent in your corner, it doesn’t have to be. When you purchased your last auto insurance policy, did someone advise you on what coverages were best for you and your family? Did you just “buy a policy” and trust that the person selling that policy to you knew exactly what you needed?

What we find with most auto insurance policies in Augusta and Evans, is that most people have no idea what their policy is covering. What is the best policy to protect them and their family in an accident they caused or an accident in which someone hits them? By not understanding your coverage or choosing improper coverage based on price, you leave you and your family open to many things, including a judgment in a lawsuit that can cost you everything!

There are two items in auto insurance in Augusta and auto insurance in Evans that should be the most concerning. The first is coverage that protects you from causing injury to someone else and damaging someone else’s property. The second is someone else causing injury to you or damage to your property. These items are listed on your auto insurance policy in Augusta and/or your policy in Evans as below:

Coverages that protect you from injuring someone else and someone else’s property:

Bodily Injury Liability (Per Person/Per Accident): The liability coverage you choose will be the maximum protection that the insurance company will pay if you injure someone else in an auto accident.

Property Damage Liability (Per Accident): The property damage coverage you choose will be the maximum amount that the insurance company will pay if you damage someone else’s vehicle or property.

Coverages that protect you from someone else injuring you or your property:

Uninsured Motorist Liability (Per Person/ Per Accident): Coverage for Damage done to you when someone does not have insurance.

Uninsured Motorist Property Damage (Per Accident): Coverage for damage done to your property when someone does not have insurance.

Coverages that fix your vehicle when involved in a covered claim/accident:

Collision (Deductible of Your Choosing): Coverage that allows your vehicle to be repaired if you collide with something and the accident is your fault.

Comprehensive (Deductible Chosen): Coverage that allows your vehicle to be repaired for anything other than collision.

Other Optional Coverages on your Auto Insurance Policy in Augusta and Evans:
